Position Overview:

At this time, our Mental Health Professional position will support our dancers through our YouTube series 'Dance Dialogues,' social media engagements, and workshops. You will play a pivotal role in advocating for mental health awareness and support from a Christian perspective through various social media platforms. Your mission will be to engage, uplift, and encourage audiences by sharing practical guidance related to mental health and biblical understanding. THIS IS A VOLUNTEER/ON CALL POSITION.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and self-reflection.

- Must be Christian

Responsibilities:

- Offering insights and advice on mental health topics from a Christian perspective, integrating faith-based principles where relevant and appropriate.

- Actively participating in panel discussions by providing informed viewpoints and experiences related to mental health and faith.

- Offering practical guidance and support rooted in Christian principles for managing mental health challenges.

- Advocating for holistic well-being, including mental, emotional, and spiritual health, within the context of dance and performance.

- Working collaboratively with other panelists to ensure a balanced and comprehensive discussion that respects diverse viewpoints.

- Sharing personal stories or testimonies (with consent) that illustrate the intersection of faith and mental health, offering encouragement and hope.

- Demonstrating compassion, empathy, and understanding in discussions and interactions with fellow panelists and audience members.

Qualifications:

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey Christian perspectives on mental health issues clearly and compassionately.

- Empathy, sensitivity, and a non-judgmental approach in addressing mental health challenges specific to dancers.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

- Knowledge of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice.

Working Conditions:

- Work hours may vary, including evenings, weekends or weekdays to accommodate filming/recording schedules.
